Marston Family, 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
"Intense inky hue with a black garnet rim. Aromas of campfire, bacon fat, leather and vanilla mingle with an uplifting menthol nuance. Zaftig blackberry and raspberry fruit flavors with notes of graphite, baker’s chocolate and drying, fine-grain tannins. Lengthy cherry-chocolate finish with a lingering smoky nuance. An exceptional, well-made Cab and a prime example of Spring Mountain fruit at its best."

"2006 Marston Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is even more impressive. The tannins are sweeter, the acids slightly lower, and the wine is just oozing with black current and blueberry fruit intermixed with hints of acacia flower, anise and some underbrush. A wine of great intensity and beautiful purity ina flowery, mountain berry style, it is opulent, full-bodied and long. This wine will be delicious upon release and drink gorgeously for 15+ years".
