Our third vintage of Albion was harvested on September 28th, 2011 and continues in the traditional Bordeaux Blanc style with rich, concentrated fruit balanced by an elegant backbone of acidity and personality.
Named for our forefather, Albion Marston, this special release combines classic Old World structure with New World fruit, embracing the Marston heritage from the chalk cliffs of Dover to the Pacific Coast of Northern California, declared “New Albion” by Sir Francis Drake.
Appellation: Yountville, Napa Valley
Production: 125 cases produced
Winemaker Tasting Notes: “An expressive nose of guava, honeysuckle and crushed sea shells is followed by a luscious white grapefruit and tangerine core. The rich character is kept taut by elegant acids that carry through to a lasting finish of golden raspberries and lemon zest.” ~ Marbue Marke
